Anger, Bluebells, Horses

Why I was, is not important, but the other night, I was angrier than I have been…I think probably ever.

It was anger, it was frustration, a whole load of things that just led me to get angry and have a HUGE rant. Thankfully somebody I know was there, and unfortunately for them, had to listen to go on about the situation…Looking back, I swore way too much.

Isn’t it weird how somethings can just set you off? It’s EXTREMELY rare for me to get even get annoyed, because I’m very passive with things and look to the brighter side of life. But this, grrrrrrrr.

Looking at the whole thing, and having considered and evaluated it, I have done nothing wrong, I can see my own failings, and will move forward with lessons learnt.

Part of me is a ashamed that I let somebody see me get like that, I am ordinarily very good at keeping things to myself.

The simplest of things (and normally free!) can often cheer you up, make you smile, or just lift your mood without you even realising. Right now, bluebells are doing that. They’re an amazing little flower, full of colour, and I love the shape of the petals.

I took these two shots this morning.

I was walking near a farm that has about 15 horses…and the owner lets them out on to a massive field during the day, and they will often walk up to the fences, so close enough to get a decent shot.

Naturally therefore when I went this morning with my camera, they were right on the other side, too far to get anything. So walking back to my car, I took the bluebell photos (above), and then I thought to myself, I might as well as the farmer/owner if I can get a little closer.

So I went on to the farm (there is a way that cars get in, it’s where we get our eggs from), and asked a man and woman if I could take some photos around the farm…they were a little hesistant (my charm was obviously failing)…and then I explained how really, I just wanted to look at the horses. The man said,

‘The horses? Yeah, tell you what, go through that gate, and through the next and you’ll be on the same field as them. They’ll be fine with you, you’ll be fine, just make sure you lock the gates after you.’

So I said thanks, and took the below!

The last horse was so white – stick a horn on it’s head and you would have a unicorn!

One horse was pretty friendly, and everytime I called would come over for some grass…below are two clips I made…I REALLY should stop talking to myself.

Please Note: These horses, although out on their own, are tame. If you see a horse, think carefully before approaching, they can be dangerous.

Stuck

To get something you haven’t got, you have to do something you haven’t done before.

I thought I was making progress with something…but right now, my below drawing illustrates how I feel.

Mix It Up, Heart Rate, Excitement

This evening I decided to do something different from my usual jog…I thought I’d mix it up a little.

Instead then, I went on a walk for about 20 minutes to loosen up, then did some stretches..and then sprinted up hill (as fast as I could) for about 20 seconds, then jogged for a minute…then walked for 2-3 minutes and repeated until I couldn’t do it anymore.

In the morning, I’d seen a tweet from Everton captain, Phil Neville (ex-United) he said he would be doing something similar at the gym…and I’ll tell you something, it REALLY works you out. Even after my first sprint my heart was pounding like mental!

I took the below shots on my phone (and then edited on Instagram) of things I saw whilst warming up.

Isn’t is wonderful how one muscle, no bigger than your fist, controls so much? And how it can make you feel?

We take it for granted when everything is fine, but at other times it gives us sensations (together with some hormones being released I’m sure) that we cannot force ourselves to feel, or replicate.

Fear makes it beat deeper…stress/anxiety makes it feel really tight…and excitement can make it feel like it’s beating at a million miles an hour.

There might be something exciting happening in my life in the next few days…I really hope it does, but we’ll see I don’t want to get hopes up.

I think to be able to move forward in life you have to be looking forward to something, whether it be career wise, or for love, or a holiday, or even lunch…you must be able to look forward.

If you don’t, then I suppose at that point you don’t have much to live for and things could go in the wrong direction.

And you should always have hope…I know some things are impossible, but still, and always always always have hope.

5000 years ago it was impossible for humans to set foot on the moon.

Hitch, Ageing, Ben Mitchell

I don’t watch a huge amount of films, but when I do, and I enjoy, I become a little obsessed with them.

Jurassic Park, Goodfellas, Harry Potter films, and Rush Hour 1 are all examples of this..another favourite, is Hitch!

If you haven’t seen it, here is the opening.

Will Smith seems like a good guy…I can’t watch the Fresh Prince shows now though, just seems weird to see him so young, and now he must be 40?!

Ageing is a curious thing. I think if I ever have a child, I will take a photo of them in the same pose every year on their birthday to see how they grow, develop and age.

I’m going to invest in some anti-wrinkle cream soon at the age of 25…after I’ve done some research into whether they work or not.

Lastly: I hate Ben Mitchell from Eastenders.

PS: I think I may have blogged about my obsession with the film Hitch once before :s

Trust, The Voice, Mayonnaise

I saw this graphic today on the Lead.Learn.Live blog.

Generally I am a pretty trustworthy person…I may let the less important stuff slip out by accident, but the major heavyweight items stay inside my mind…I would never tell anybody those things. For whatever reason though, there isn’t a single person I trust fully in the world…the person closest to that. lives about 5 hours away…hence the graphic above.

To me, trusting somebody around you who you see often is a no no, it will only end in trouble. I am much happier keeping myself to myself in that sense.

It’s like Stone Cold used to say: DTA, don’t trust anybody.

The Voice is so much better than the X-Factor…watching it today made me realise how much Danny looks like Robin Thicke!

Robin Thicke is the man…listen to this song, it’s called Boring.

Or this one…The Sweetest Love

Completely unrelated, but I do not like mayonnaise. If you want to ruin the taste of something – add Mayo!

Thinking, Braincells, The Brain

The brain, like the rest of the human body is truly remarkable.

I always think too much…way too much. For the past few hours I’ve been going over something in my mind to the point I have managed to give myself a small headache.

I’m not stressed by the thoughts, merely the sense of the unknown is driving me nuts!

I hope I don’t use too many braincells up with this constant thinking, especially since they don’t really regenerate.

Some brainy facts.

1. The brain creates enough electricity to power a lightbulb.
2. New connections are made in the brain every time you think of something new, or remember something
3. Some of the strongest, intense and most emotional thoughts are prompted by scents.
4. When sleeping, the brain produces a hormone to essentially paralyse you so that you physically don’t act upon your dreams
5. The brain is 75% water

I need to go to sleep otherwise my head could burst

Seriously though, could humans ever conjure up something as astonishing as the brain? I think not
